I hate it when Stargate fans irreverently attack the episodes or the movies. Stargate Continuum came out Tuesday and on message boards I have seen attacks. I know that with anything there are going to be people that don’t like it, but as fans I don’t think it is right to call it “a piece of crap” or similar phrases that convey sheer suckdom…. I will show you something, this is a post I wrote (agentCarterfanboy) in a thread I started after Stargate: The Ark of Truth was released, on the GateWorld forum. The thread was called “please don’t bash ark of truth”.

“It was better than the episodes, the special effects and picture quality are great! The story was engaging, yes there were plotholes and things that could have been more explained like the “truth” in the ark. The BB scene was a bit long…. but hey, Its still Stargate. As fans we should support it, when we’re devoted to something we shouldn’t toss it aside if it is having a bad day. If we weren’t impressed we should still buy it in the hope that MGM makes more and better ones. Sure some seasons aren’t to everyones liking, but don’t forget that TPTB brought us many great seasons, this why I don’t think its fair to call it a piece of “crap” or a “rip-off” as I’ve seen. I enjoyed watching all of them, including the movie.”

She is the sister of Zooey Deschanel. Emily, I believe is most known for her role on Bones as forensic anthropologist Doctor Temperance Brennan, who is based on Dr. Kathy Reichs. Emily is also co-producer of Bones.  Bones being one of my favorite shows and Emily being so comely makes her one of my favorites. She often times to me looks to be a red-head(look below to see what I mean) even as I just realized that she is more often brunette.

Hmmm… what Shall I blog today…. I pre-ordered Stargate Continuum today from Amazon. It comes out July 29 but I hope I get it earlier, it sometimes happens with Amazon. I am really looking forward to it, it should be a great time travel tale in the frozen Arctic!……. The X-files movie comes out in two days, I never got into the series, I think I was too young during its time, but the movie looks good… Can’t wait for Sanctuary the series in October…. Rest In Peace Estelle Getty(Golden Girls ——–> Sophia Petrillo)…… Doctor Who two part season Finale starts this Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a bit of a recap of tonight’s  “Stargate: Atlantis” episode, “The Seed”. OK, here goes:

1. Woolsey is beamed to Atlantis via the Daedulus.

2. He arrives and acts like he is not sure what to say.

3. He and the team go into the briefing room.

4. It is decided that until there is evidence of Michael’s whereabouts, finding him will not be top priority.

5. At night Doctor Keller noticing some kind of white webby substance on her hand and washes it off.

6. Carson is brought out of stasis because Keller developed a drug to help him recover.

He[CARSON] has to go to Earth, he is not cleared for duty.

7. Doctor Keller gets some much needed rest.

8. In the morning she does not rise and the team sees she is somewhat engulfed in reddish tendrill like substance.

9. Carson saw this in Michaels experiments- he stays to help.

10. After much Deliberation and work, a virus is created which with help of Rodney and Ronan was injected to Keller killing the stuff on her, thereby rendering the rest engulfing the base useless.

 I’m here for more Atlantis commentary! Exciting (maybe)! Stargate: Atlantis with its season five premiere last Friday has been off to a nice run! I hope the success remains. Woolsey’s reign commences with this Friday’s episode. Will it be one of terror, of jerk-dom? Will it be a success, or will he make decisions without the influence of emotion? How will our heroes and heroines react to his leadership? What prophecies will Teyla’s baby bring? What does this all mean? What does the future hold?….. What of Teyla’s people?…. Tune in this Friday after Doctor Who, start time is  Ten PM!

Laura Linney has become a favorite of mine. She has had a successful career involving both movies and television. As you can see on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) she has won numerous awards including three Oscar nominations and an Emmy for playing Charlotte on Frasier.  Her recent roles are:

As for her looks the picture speaks for itself!

Damn, I love England for this! This show always gets better and better. It always increases its quality, more suspense, more twists, more everything! It manages to be Horror-esque without crossing the line into gore and outlandish fear. This is something that I have always admired about  the show. Its passion also is a high note for me, David Tennant is great in this area, he is very emotional and fiery in his acting. The Doctor’s “companion”(travelling partner) who is currently Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) adds to the dramatic and emotional appeal of the show.  Even IF YOU ARE NOT A SCI-FI BUFF, YOU WON’T REGRET CHECKING THIS OUT. FRIDAYS AT 10PM EST ON SCI-FI (BBC AMERICA FOR RE-RUNS).

Two words about this show: Dysfunctional Family!

Family:

1. Ray- Sports writer, acts like a child at times with his logic, and the way he treats Debra.

2. Debra- She is Ray’s wife- takes care of twins Michael and Jeffrey, and Ally, their daughter

3. Robert- Ray’s brother, he is a Police Officer, made fun for being freakishly tall, throughout the series he had troble with women, until he meets Amy, breaks up/makes up with her few times and finally marris her.

4. Marie- Ray’s mother, she is very narcissistic and very manipulative- she wraps up her criticisms in what might seem to be compliments- especially with Debra! It is her way of showing love. She is intrusive, the fact that she lives next door doesn’t help.

5. Frank- Rays father, almost void of emotion or embrace, is funny in a rude way, he is very patriarchal.
