Concept MP3 player spins CDs, cuts pizza
The MP3 player market is getting so competitive these days, what with companies like Apple and Creative dominating the scene, that to have any hope of surviving your product has to really stand out. This fresh concept by designer Yong-Seong Kim is just one example of how crazy and cool MP3 players can get if you let your imagination run wild. Closed, the DMP player would function just as any MP3 player would. Once opened, however, the player has the ability to read CDs (!) — albeit in a scary, unprotected manner.
The idea of a digital music player that can also play CDs is certainly a welcome one, even if most of your music is stored on your computer anyway. After all, it has a benefit you can’t get on any iPod: Just slide in a CD and you’re ready to cut up some pizzas. — Kevin Hall
